is found only in the Wai‘anae Mountains on the island of O‘ahu.

Last observed: 1994-01-28
Location: Wai‘anae Mountains, ridge
between Makua and Makaha valleys, 2700-2940 ft, detailed map available.
Habitat: Native forest of Metrosideros and
other native trees on eroding dry-mesic ridgetop.
Observations: More than 20 individuals (young
and adult) alive, on host plants Freycinetia,
Pouteria, and Myrsine,
with 5 snails on a small recently dead tree (probably Xylosma)
apparently girdled by goats (Yoshioka, 1994); extant population at site
(Christensen & Hadfield 1984).
