Integrating available information on Hawaiian near-shore waters to enable a comprehensive conservation-planning framework for Hawai'i.

  • MarineGap is an integrated approach to understand Hawaii's ocean environment in relation to what is known and what needs to be learned.
  • Our aim is to create an integrated source of current scientific knowledge, local / Hawaiian cultural and biological knowledge as well as ocean user knowledge (divers, fisherman, managers...).
  • Read about our project and provide comments on our structure, intent and feasibility. Help us in our goal to provide support for multidisciplinary understanding of our marine ecosystem.
